Football (or soccer for our American readers) always raises a lot of interest to new technologies. The last World’s Cup was of course no exception. Belgium has always been strong in football technologies, with companies such as EVS who brought to the game a new generation of cameras able to provide watchers with incredible replays and slow-motion action. Last month, there’s been a lot of noise around two Belgian sport and technology experts, Francois Theux and Kevin Bram. The pair made the claim that had the FIFA used the AI technology they had the chance to use, France would not have won the championship.
